HHI focuses on implementing culturally appropriate and sustainable solutions to the public health needs in remote villages, one at a time. HHI seeks not to give handouts or to set up bandaid solutions but to develop the potential of remote Haitian villages sustainably so that one day the residents of those communities can carry on independent of HHI’s assistance. HHI’s development goals and focus on sustainability generally align with the formal “Sustainable Development Goals” set forth by the United Nations.
