We strive to provide basic prenatal and well-child care, as well as to treat acute needs, including infections, arthritis, gastritis, headaches and other conditions. Additionally, we provide education on treatment and prevention of common diseases. When we visit Timo, we train community health workers in basic medical procedures and techniques so that the people can maintain health without outside doctors and nurses. Ultimately, we plan to build a clinic in Timo, which would be staffed by Haitian health care providers. HHI would like to partner with the Haitian Ministry of Health to this end. We also plan to create a partnership with family medicine residency programs at McKay and Utah Valley Hospitals. Additionally, our partnership with FPF, an organization of farmers in Timo who are committed to improving their condition and have an interest in health care, is also growing. The true purpose of the HHI medical team is to give hope and let the people of Haiti know they are not forgotten.

Make a major difference in the lives of others and donate to our medical projects now.
