WANT TO KNOW ABOUT US.
“Education is the most powerful tool that can be used to change the world” (adapted from Nelson Mandela).
In 2015, Haiti Health Initiative launched a project to build a safe, world-class school building for the children of Timo. The school would impact more than 200 children living in and around the area.
We have funded our efforts through donations from generous participants—including the local residents of Timo, who have already donated $250 and labor to build the school. Our volunteers and donors are the ones who make progress toward the school building’s construction possible.
While we delight in our strides toward the construction of the school, we acknowledge the need to boost our efforts as we near our deadline. To accomplish our goal, HHI is raising funds for each room of the school. We are in need of a benefactor with the means to provide the funds necessary to complete the building of a safe, world-class school building by April 2019.
We recognize the sacrifice required of benefactors as well as our inability to reciprocate. As a way to express our gratitude, however, we eagerly announce that donors who contribute $16,000 will have a room in the school named after them. Furthermore, if a donor wishes to finance the entire building, then we will name the school building after the donor.
Would you like to make a major difference in the Timo community?
